Summer is here in full force, with heat, humidity, and stormy weather. The garden is lush and my life is full. I sent off work to Kunstlåven in Seljord, Norway, only to find out that the package now is stuck in customs. Don't know if it will reach the exhibit in time, or at all... School is out for the boys. My oldest just turned 21, and is working hard preparing for the medical school entrance exam. My youngest is gearing up for college applications, and is spending the summer at Governor's School, making music, friends, and memories. I am proud of what accomplished young men these sweet boys have become.
The studio move is done. I can't wait to begin work and truly make this space my own. I have two exhibits coming up in early fall, and I am considering a few show submissions for next year as well.
While all these good things are going on, a dear friend is in the hospital battling cancer and worries about his well being is occupying my mind. Ending this post with another lush garden photo, wishing that the bounty and beauty of nature somehow can overcome illness and sadness.
